Thank you for choosing to apply and to become a member of the Cook Islands Community WA Incorporated (CICWAI or the Association). Your support and contribution as a community in WA is greatly appreciated to keep our organisation going.
Membership is effective from the date it is paid in full and entitles you for a calendar year (1 January to 31 December each year) or part thereof. An updated membership application form must be completed so the Association can keep your details current to notify you of upcoming events. Your membership fees support and subsidise some of our CICWAI events and activities our organisation offers and to support our objectives in its Rules. Example of these events/activities included:
• Public Liability Insurance
• Annual Easter Sports
• Annual Te Maeva Nui of WA
• Others - fundraising activities, workshops etc
As a member with voting rights, you can also become elected to the Management Committee who is responsible in managing the affairs of the Association. This is a good opportunity to share and learn from one another in delivering the objectives of the Association.

• Your name and contact details, as provided must be recorded in a register of members.
• If your application is accepted, you are entitled to receive a copy of the Rules (Constitution) of the Association and entitled to vote at any general meeting.
If your application for membership is rejected by the Committee: You may give notice of your intention to appeal within 14 days of being advised of the rejection. The Association in a general meeting, no later than the next annual general meeting, must confirm or set aside the decision of Management rejecting your application, after giving you a reasonable opportunity to be heard or to make written representations to the general meeting.
